Arthur K. Messou
With a background in financial services, international business development and entrepreneurship, Arthur brings a wealth of experience to the team. Over his many years of service, he has gained major exposure to prominent political figures, financiers and entrepreneurs from different parts of the world. As a managing partner at Apex Capital, he seeks to capture the various opportunities that globalization offers and turn them into prolific and successful enterprises. He perceives the world as a playground where business entities connect people in a meaningful manner to create long-term and sustainable value-creating mechanisms.
Adrian Lu
Adrian is an experienced product leader and operator. He brings 15 years of product development/management and product engineering experience in both early-stage startups to enterprises, and is dedicated to identifying and solving pain points in the B2B and B2C space. As a result of being intricately involved with venture-backed startups funded by industry giants such as Andreessen Horowitz, Sequoia Capital, Tiger Global, and Golden Ventures, Adrian has unique insight and expertise on building companies from the ground up ($42M USD raised).
Adrian's customer obsession driven principles has transformed visionary ideas into market-ready products. His skill in guiding early to mid-stage startups and strategic thinking has accelerated the growth and market adoption of several ventures, leading many from inception through to market launch and further.
Adrian brings domains expertise from various SaaS verticals including VOD and SVOD, developer operations, supply chain logistics, EDI trading, and generative AI. He excels in driving innovation, supporting operational teams, and ensuring venture success at all stages.
Barbara Lu
As the Head of Strategy and Governance at Apex Capital, Barbara brings over a decade of experience in policy, governance, and high-level stakeholder relations in the governmental and financial sectors. Barbara’s expertise is highlighted by her role in advising and overseeing the appointment of directors to over 90 public organizations and leading the integration of real estate regulation within a Canadian regulator. This involved developing sophisticated governance structures and regulatory policies.
Barbara has also demonstrated prowess in building compliance and reporting systems from the ground up. Her strategic planning skills are complemented by a strong focus on executive compensation and organizational and executive performance management.
Barbara’s legislative expertise includes drafting new laws and amending existing ones, alongside forming new government bodies. With a proven track record in managing complex relationships, risk management, and strategic HR, Barbara is an invaluable asset, especially for enterprises and mid-market businesses seeking strategic guidance and governance expertise.
